Guys where do I even begin. 8th of July I got to meet and see my all time favourite artist live and wow what a show. Camila exceeded all expectations really and she is such a heavily underrated pop star. Her mic was ON all night the vocals did not fall short. Lets recap the night and get into it was so amazing.
I think it was such an iconic choice to have the intro song be London Bridge by Fergie. That deffo got everyone hyped up LOL. The show was at the eventim and I think venue and stage wise was a little bit smaller to what her and her dancers were use to so throughtout careful adjustments were made. She kinda opens up the show with a big bouncy cube on stage which later deconstructs to like rails iconic for songs "MOVE remix" and "Havana".
The first song she sang was shameless which is one of those underrated bangers. Big enough for all the fans to know but the locals have no clue and may have heard it a few times on tik tok. But im telling you the microphone was on THIS GIRL WAS SINGING AND PERFORMING LIKE HER LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. IF you havent seen the vids on my instagram or tik tok please take a look because my god I was so impressed.
My favourite performance of hers had to be "Bad Kind of Butterflies". Its so hard to describe but this big cage was covered in like a cloth and when the lights were flashing you could see the dancers shadows behind the cloth it was super cool. She didnt do much dancing for this song so it was really all about the vocals and her delivery and WOW WOW WOW she really let go with that. That was her 6th song on the setlist so by that point I said "Yes this is easily her best show of the tour so far". You could really tell she was performing her ass off. THERE WERE 23 SONGS ON THERE BTW soooooo very early on.
My least favourite part was probably when she performed June Gloom because she was just on the right side of the stage (I was standing on the left) and I litch could not see her iconic june gloom bar hanging. BUT the whole show made up for it really even that dumb bouncy thing that was blocking my way.
I LOVED her interactions with the crowd. She waved at me and my friend did a fan project and she acknowledged it and Im just so happy because I never thought I would be that close to the woman I have been listening to for 10 years. I also met her earlier that day but we dont talk about it.
But throughout the whole show I was thinking one thing "She needs a bigger stage". Like she can outperform all your favs and realistically deserves that big stage. But then there is always that question of "Will she sell them out" im afraid not many people have good taste. Next time she comes on tour she is gonna have a bigger stage and thats going to make me a little sad but for real I am never gonna forget this day and how Camila needs her flowers.
Like I think its so crazy people constantly disrespect her name and say she is on the same vocal ability as Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift like thats dioabolical because those runs will tell you others. The haters really clutching their pearls.
One more thing I want to talk about. She sang her unreleased song that got leaked years ago called "scar tissue". That song means alot to fans arguably her best unreleased and that being on the setlist says alot about how she views us. ATP THOUGH I CANT LIE, RELEASE DATE?
All in all that was the best concert I ever attended and I have been to alot and tbh if there are american dates announced and I have money I would be so down to go just to see her. I always wanted to go to LA or Miami anyways, why not go for the artist you love so much.
