The Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is always the talk of the town in the music industry. Some argue she is ruining it by releasing albums every year 20 thousand vinyl variants and obviously rereleasing her catalogue.

This album barely any roll out but a movie announcement got ALOT of critique on tik tok for its simple cringe lyrics. This wouldn't usually be an issue say for artists like Sabrina Carpenter but TAYLOR SWIFT has built her reputation as a deeply recognised and heavily credited song writer. And although this album does not showcase that talent I still enjoyed it to some degree.

As soon as I heard "father figure" I made a joke saying this was a masc lesbian anthem just because the lyrics refer to her dick being bigger LMAOOOOO i'm funny. But if you kind of listen to the lyrics it makes sense her talking about being more manly than the guy she is with HELP WHO HURT YOU TAYLOR. I think this song and "wood" are very humorous in that sense.

My favourite song off the album is "Wi$h Li$t". I don't even know how to describe the melody just itches my core the transition into the chorus gets me every time. Not to mention I love how her voice sounds the whole song. Its a yearners song and I am a yearner after all. One specific lyric "got me dreaming bout a driveway with a basketball hoop" like yes I love basketball taylor and I also want a driveway with a basketball hoop. Like lyrically this song dosen't do much just lists a bunch of things but its the way its articulated that hits very well.

ITS NOT HER BEST ALBUM BUT THAT DOSENT MEAN YOU CANT ENJOY IT
