Vodka Cranberry, the second single to come off Conan Gray's upcoming album "Wishbone" releasing on August 15th. Now before this song came out it had sentimental meaning to me so I was very excited and anticipating the release having the chorus being released on TikTok. Can I just say this song lived to my expectations even exceeded.

Now ICL maybe first listen it didnt hit as much but as I been listening to it non stop I feel like I am being transported to a whole new reality. The actual music behind the song makes you feel like you are floating. It also really gives like sailor vibes with the into like you are sailing away on a boat from everyone you ever loved I dunno cheesy but that is the vibe I am getting from Wishbone album so far. That kind of "I am sailing away on a boat but this is my story". I think the two songs "Vodka Cranberry" and "This Song" which was previously released compliment eachother so perfectly and I have this feeling that this album will be Conans rise to fame.

I love how soft the song starts at first and by the end of it the intense highnote which oh my days so slay and the little hidden lyrics in the bridge? Have to go on tiktok to decipher those. But honestly as a singer Conan never reslly does anything too flashy the impact lies in the lyrics but I think the airyness of the prechorus and that high note changed that. ALSO ALSO THE CHORUS, the way his voice is layered and amplified with the crescendo (ooooooo big words) of the instruments which makes sense because the lyrics are so intense with emotion "Speak Up I know you hate me". And this is probably one of those songs where it really hits if you have been through it as most of Conans discography. He really is the king of situationship music (The King is another underrated Conan Gray song).

I have been a fan of his since 2019 just before covid and he has come such a long way. I always get excited whenever he releases music and when the UK tour dates drop I will be there for sure.

I genuinely dont think I can fault this song and this will definitely be in my top 5 for my spotify wrapped.

My favourite lyric: "Speak up I know you hate me, looked at your picture and cried like a baby" - SORRY ITS BASIC BUT IT BANGS EVERYTIME.
